FAQs

Our regular meetings begin at 7:30pm on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at the Masonic Memorial Temple Association Building at 23 Centre Street in St. Catharines.

We ask visitors to please arrive by 7pm to allow adequate time for investigation and approval before the lodge meeting begins.

The Lodge Room is located on the 2nd floor, and the social hour is held in the banquet hall on the 3rd floor. There is not an elevator or stair lift at this time. Please contact us if you have any mobility issues.

We may also have emergent meetings on the 4th Tuesday of the month, please check the calendar for more information.

We do not meet for the months of July and August, but do have a number of social events during this time. Please contact us if you are in the area during that time.

At St. George’s Lodge,  we want visitors to know what to expect so they can feel at ease.

Officers of our lodge wear a tuxedo, and members wear dark business suits.

Visitors should also wear a dark business suit. There are many photos on the site from lodge meetings and the social hour, please take a look and contact us if you have any questions.

We always encourage any visitor to contact us before attending a meeting, especially if your mother lodge is outside of the district.

Your visit is important to us, and we want to be sure you  feel at home, are greeted warmly, and arrangements for your visit can be made if necessary.

On site parking is available at the Masonic Memorial Temple. Street parking is also available for free after 6pm. Please make sure to lock your car, and leave any valuables out of site.

When you arrive, please enter through the north side of the building, there you will find a buzzer located to the left of the door. Please press it and one of our members will unlock the door, then proceed upstairs where a member will greet you.

Please always bring your dues card, it is important that you can prove your membership in a lodge that is recognized by the Grand Lodge of Canada in the Province of Ontario.

Additionally, depending on your mother lodge, you may notice some differences in the ritual. One of the best parts of masonry is seeing the similarities and differences.

The main thing to know is that all lodges in Grand Lodge of Canada in the Province of Ontario open and conduct business in the First Degree, and go up through the degrees as necessary. We will review any specifics for the evenings meeting when you arrive.
